Gorgeous Holiday Workshops

This holiday we launched our now very popular "Make-Up Make-Overs". Have a look at how Lauren transformed us by simply teaching us how to apply our make up correctly(see our home page for picutres). We also had such fun with Luzanne Smith in "Learn to Mosaic" - her children's workshop was too cute and the table looked like a sweetie shop with all her Gorgeous mosaic tiles on display. Ashleigh's "Tricks with Chocolate" has just taken off and the workshop room buzzes with excitement - perhaps it has something to do with that incredible Choclate Ganache Cake. Odette escaped from her Soap laboratory to run a gorgeous adult body product workshop and the kiddes one was also too cute - they made little soaps with dinosaurs embedded in them. Gorgeous Cards was also a big hit and now the adult also want to do them and so we hope to have Lolly and Charlene doing workshops with us more regularly.

A Gorgeous Sunny Open Day on the 17 & 18 June

The long, winter holidays are upon us and so we have planned a "Just Gorgeous Moms and Kids" open day to get you residents of "sleepy hollow" out of your winter hibernation. We are offering some lovely childrens's entertainmnet and stunning winter sales for moms who can also enjoy a lovely tea. The open day will feature the Hedgerow 2009 Winter Sale Collection as well as beautiful books, toys, jewellery, clothing and delicious winter, comfort food. Sole Salons and Spa will be offering the following lucky draw prizes:

Prize 1: An indulgent cut, wash/head massage and style plus cappuccino/coffee

Prize 2: A deep cleanse facial plus cappuccino/coffee

Prize 3:A pedicure plus cappuccino/coffee

The charity of choice this time around is The Sunflower Fund and so bright, sunny sunflowers with a glamorous twist will be the theme throughout the home. This wonderful organization raises funds and creates awareness for the South African Bone Marrow Registry thus enabling ordinary South Africans to be tissue typed and to join the registry. A number or children from Pietermartizburg have, in the past, needed bone marrow transplants and by supporting initiatives by The Sunflower Fund, we not only increase the size of the registry, but we sow the seeds of hope for families with children in desperate need of a bone marrow transplant. All profits made on tea, kids entertainment, sunflower biscuits and sunfower merchandise will be going directly to this charity. So, bring the children and come and enjoy a "Just Gorgeous/Sunflower Open Day"

Gorgeous Tricks with Chocolate

The room was buzzing with excitement at the lauch of our latest workshop"Tricks with Chocolate" by Ashleight Temple. Not only did we learn some very snazzy skills but we got to devour Ashleigh's completely decadent chocolate cake. The workshoppers left on a complete high with some chocaholics needing some serious rehab. It was awesome.

Just to give you a little peek at what the gals have been up to in Nikki's Creative Cupcake workshop. I often leave fliers at Jacaranda pre-primary and this last week I left our "Gorgeous Display board" - when I went to collect it, the secretary said that one of their mums had made the most gorgeous cupcakes for her daughter's baker day and they were all so impressed. Well done Jo Goddard for doing such yummy cupcakes - chocolate swirls with a chuckle I believe. In this collage, Tracy proudly shows off her little "works of art" and one of the other ladies shows us how adding eyes to her little frog, gives him personality. What a wonderful display of creativity!!!!

Soap & Body Product Workshops

Odette Handley of Riverlea Soap teaches us how to make a range of beautiful soaps, bath fizzies, sugar scrub, bath salts in this gorgeous workshop. This particular one is called "Hearts & Roses" but she is always coming up with wonderful new themes. In "Chocolate Soap-Box" we made delicious chocolate cup-cake soaps... A Gorgeous Easter Open Day

We were delighted to host "Midlands Life Magazine" at our Easter Open Day and look forward to seeing "Just Gorgeous" featured in their beautiful magazine - you must get a copy!!! Visitors to our Open Day got to enjoy absolutely gorgeous Easter goodies as well as other stunning merchandise. Our next Open Days will be on the 17 & 18 June from 10am -5pm

Cupcakes "The Next Level" with Nikki Palmer Sponsored by FOODPAK

In this three hour workshop, Nikki shows us how to make cupcakes with gorgeous fillings. We also learn more complicated nozzle skills and lhow to make icing roses. We have loads of fun playing with tylose as Nikki teaches us how to make flowers, bows and all sorts of other shapes using the Gem Cutters' range. We get to sample some of those decadent butterfly cupcakes with our tea and, of course, we get to take a couple very yummy cupcakes home for the family.
